Pinda Oil

Pinda Taila is a traditional Ayurveda oil with its base as sesame oil enriched with herbal ingredients like Madhuchishta (honeybee wax), Manjishta (Rubia cordifolia), Sarja rasa (resin of Vateria indica), Sariva (Hemidesmus indicus).

This classical oil is carefully prepared according to the traditional Ayurvedic method. The reference of Pinda Taila is found in Aṣṭāṅga Hṛdaya, Cikitsā Sthāna, where it is mentioned in the context of Vātasonita cikitsā (management of disorders involving vitiated Vāta and Rakta).

 

Effects and Properties

• Cooling in nature

• Relieves burning sensation and pounding pain associated with vitiated Pitta.

• Useful in conditions presenting with redness, swelling, and tenderness.

• Supports the maintenance of normal healthy skin.

• Cooling, soothing, and pacifying to Pitta and Rakta while balancing aggravated Vāta.

 

Recommended Use

• For external application only.

• Gently massage it into the skin. Recommended time of exposure is from 20-30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water or wipe with soft cloth dipped in warm water.
