Dhanwantaram-Oil

 Dhanwantharam Taila is one of the most widely used and revered Ayurvedic oils, classically mentioned in traditional texts as highly effective in conditions involving aggravated Vāta. Prepared with sesame oil and processed with Bala (Sida cordifolia), Daśamūla (Daśamūla, a classical combination of ten medicinal roots, is known in Ayurveda for reducing inflammation, relieving pain, and balancing Vāta and Kapha. It supports the nervous, and musculoskeletal systems, making it deeply restorative and strengthening),cow’s milk along with other herbal ingredients. It provides strength, nourishment, and rejuvenation to both body and mind. It is regarded as an oil that restores vitality, promotes balance, and enhances overall health.

Recommended Use

  • For Abhyanga (daily self-massage): warm the oil slightly and apply over the body with gentle strokes.

  • Recommended time of exposure is from 20-30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water or wipe with soft cloth dipped in warm water.

  • Commonly used in Panchakarma therapies such as Abhyanga, Dhara, and Basti.

  • Especially beneficial for individuals with Vāta imbalance, the elderly, postpartum women, and those experiencing fatigue or weakness.

  • Can be applied locally on joints, back, or muscles for relief from pain and stiffness.
